Scene 1
What do you get when you bring together some of the top female porn directors in the world's work and join their hottest fantasies? Apparently an amazing compilation that spans the entirely of female desire and sexuality and neatly presents more than two and a half hours of pure pleasure. Of all the porn this reviewer has watched, this is the first multi-director compilation I remember seeing that has been executed so well. Each scene plays of one and another and adds fuel to the fire just when you think the fire could not be further stoked. Because each vignette is so different from each other, as well as created by different women, I am going to review each scene by itself - obviously starting with scene one.
Scene one. Where do I start? Do I begin with the fact that this is only the second time I've ever seen Tristan Taormino get fucked on screen and how excited I was to even see her at all? Or do I focus on how amazing it was that porn/sex legends Candida Royalle and Betty Dodson were in the scene as well? Nah, let's start with the ferocious sensuality that came along with having a man jerk off on stage in front of an audience of women. "Not So Tender Is The Night," directed by Marianna Beck takes feminism and sex to a new level, breaking boundaries and getting to the good stuff right away. While these women may have been trying to teach this guy a "lesson" about objectifying women, the point was pretty much lost the minute he began getting into it and I forgot that there was something to think about other than his hand on his cock, or Tristan Taormino sliding her corset down to expose her perfect pink nipples. And though this was totally awesome and my eyes were glued to the screen, it was the second part of the scene that had my total, undivided attention. Once the guy gets in bed with our girl Tristan and has her moaning up and down the sheets, this movie officially became one of my favies.
The scene may have only amounted to 17 or so minutes, but I am definitely in for the long haul and can't wait to see what Strawberry Seductress brings us next!
Scene 2
JD reviewed the first scene of Petra Joy's Her Porn last week, and when I had the chance to do the next I jumped on it. While it is only five minutes long, I totally loved it and was inspired to learn a little more about director Shu Lea Cheang, a queer media artist.
This clip, Unplugged, is from her film I.K.U, which actually premiered at Sundance back in 2000. I'm pretty sure this is the first Sundance flick I've reviewed on here, so that's pretty rad. It was pretty obvious from the beginning that this isn't your run of the mill fuck scene, although there's plenty of XXX and it's smokin' hot. The set is really cool with all of these shifting walls and the camera work is fantastic. Between the set and the lighting, it has a really futuristic feel.
One thing that I really love, especially after learning more about the film and Cheang, is that this scene is pretty hardcore. A couple of minutes in, they are really going at it and it is super awesome. Gonzo directors should note how hot fucking can be without insane close-ups of penis in vagina.
After seeing this, I would love to see the film that it's taken from or anything from the director. It's short, but totally sweet. A great example of the fact that porn can be art!
Scene 3
The Porn Librarian reviewed scene 2 of Petra Joy's awesome lady porn collection, Her Porn Vol. 1, so it's my turn to check out the next vignette, "A Tight Fit," directed by HM4Her favorite Candida Royalle. Originally from her film One Size Fits All, this ten minute scene looks super sensual and totally hot before I even hit play. Three cheers for sexy screen caps!
The minute I flipped this flick on, I could tell a woman was behind the camera. Maybe it was the point of view or the fact that they weren't screwing on some tacky hotel-looking background, but there is just something decidedly feminine about this scene. Of course, it could have been the overt passion and attention to the details of arousal that tipped me off. In my experience, I've found that a lot of male-focused porn forgets that there are faces and people attached to those pussies, tits and penises, but porn for gals (especially made by ladies), tend to spend a little more time exploring expressions and movements that cover more than the old in and out. I just call it how I see it and this hot romp is case and point.
On a lighter note: I couldn't help but think that the woman in the scene looks kind of like Vanna White from Wheel of Fortune. Seriously - with the blond updo and all! Once I noticed that, the scene became a whole different ballgame for me. All I saw was Vanna moaning and squirming and Vanna sucking cock. I always knew she touched those letters so lovingly, but wow, who would have thought she'd be such a tiger in the sack, scratchin' her man's back up and all. Mmmm... she definitely made me want to buy a vowel.
Candida Royalle was the perfect choice for this fabulous lady-centric porn collaboration. Without her exceptional movies and perseverance in a male dominated field, this compilation, as well as the female porn movement might not even exist today.
